Programme profile
This programme is designed for individuals who wish to undergo a highly vocational and industry focused training and education as a commercial and contemporary dancer. The programme is “designed for individuals with passion, creativity, imagination and a real commitment to gaining and sustaining a lasting career as a performer”. It provides its students with the opportunity to develop as individual creative artists able to work and thrive in multiple contexts and environments
Programme content
The programme is an integrated programme with ten principal areas of study: Dance Technique; Contemporary dance (Graham, Cunningham, Limon, Horton); Jazz technique (Mattox, Luigi, Cole, Fosse); Ballet; Street and commercial dance; Tap dance; Spanish dance; Dance and musical theatre; Choreography; Kinesiology and health; Acting technique; Voice and singing; Performance and repertoire; Professional practice; Performing arts business and entrepreneurship; Dance history and context; Interdisciplinary practice
